Turks and Caicos 2018 Select Photos

The final destination of a several stop itinerary was to the beautiful island of Turks and Caicos. It was my only international trip of the year and it was a great choice. I had heard rumors of amazing beaches and just how friendly everyone was. It was true about how nice all the locals were to all the unwashed tourists and that really made an impression on me. And, Grace Bay was voted the best beach in the world and I can see why. Continue reading

Key West 2018 Select Photos

I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect when I was told that the trip to Key West was happening. Is it just like Miami? Is it like all those songs you hear that describe laid back vibes with margaritas and beaches? Everything was new but it also felt so familiar. Continue reading

New York City 2018 Select Photos

The first stop of a packed itinerary was to New York City to visit my friend who has made a few appearances on this blog in Tokyo and Las Vegas. This was my third trip to The Big Apple and as a fun fact, New York City was the first destination I visited when I started this whole travel adventure. Continue reading

My Year End Recap 2018. Travel and Life.

Travel

Well, another year has come to an end. It was a good year overall for me, like many of these recent years past. Life has been great and only looking to get better in 2019. Most of this year was spent saving money with no real plans to use it until December. Frugality juxtaposed by luxury. From the deserts of southern Arizona to the private beaches of the Caribbean, I took in a nice variety of the world this year. Continue reading

The October Whirlwind

It’s been a while hasn’t it? This is just a quick update. The short trips to Tucson and Las Vegas earlier this year were fun but this summer was spent saving money and just keeping my head down to work. During that time, I tried to practice getting better at my photography and Photoshop. Working with models and exploring the greater Phoenix area hunting for interesting locations. Practice at home to be better around the world. Summer lasts longer here in Phoenix but it was a quiet season until October 13th to the 23rd. It felt like I was never still. Not even when I tried to sleep. Even now, it’s been hard to get back into the swing of things but here we go. Continue reading

In College and No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain.

When I was in college, I hardly had enough money to eat. I certainly didn’t have the money to go on the study abroad trip to Tokyo that coming summer. I wanted to go so bad but the amount of money was astronomical to me at the time. That summer came and went, the fall semester started and they all came back with amazing stories of drinking at an izakaya, eating the best sushi, and getting lost under the neon signs of warm Tokyo nights. I told myself I’d go someday but I could barely afford a trip to the theatre to watch a movie about Tokyo, much less fly to Japan. Continue reading
