PHX Photo Walk One

So what is there to take a picture of in Phoenix anyway? Armed with a new camera and free time, I set out to see what I could find. I figured it would be a good chance to enjoy Phoenix’s amazing October weather and fall clouds passing over the city. I found that most people would usually stare at me or be confused by my camera. They’d look at what I was pointing my camera at and walk by wondering why I would take a picture of “that?”

If you see me walking around, don’t be afraid to say hello. Megan from Megan 3point3 actually spotted me walking down 3rd Ave and Willetta one evening. I hope to turn this into a new series of small galleries from just wandering around downtown and perhaps other surrounding areas or events.

Some of these pictures were edited in Lightroom 6 to bring out more color or correct exposure levels. Really it’s another chance for me to get more practice using both the camera and Lightroom. The pictures are in random order as they are not displayed in the order that they were taken nor are they even a part of the same days walk. So I hope you enjoy this and other short walks around downtown Phoenix.

  1. Love the pictures!! I hope you get some great ones of the Roosevelt Row murals!! Or if you want to wonder around more, some if the great historic houses in the neighborhood. My favorites are the brick one on 5th & Lynwood and then the cream colored one on 5th & Portland with the amazing porch!
