My Year End Recap 2016.

This was an odd year for me. It was the first time in my years of traveling that I didn’t travel solo (internationally) nor did I visit any new countries. Even though I long to see more of the world, sometimes that’s just the way it works out. I’m happy I finally got around to seeing some of the places in Arizona I’ve always wanted to visit. Overall it was a good year for me. And though I didn’t procure any new passport stamps, I still learned a lot and made some incredible memories I’ll never forget. Continue reading

Drift Beyond… Photoshop fun.

The evening my friends and I returned from Chichen Itza and the cenote in Ik Kil, we went to the small market at the resort, grabbed a few drinks and snacks to make ourselves comfortable sitting on the balcony looking out to dark waters while listening to some chill music to end the night. Little Cayman day

The short walk to the water is a winding path of soft sand, stubborn plants, grumpy iguanas and structures far beyond their glory days. When I actually come to the sea, all that’s left is a leaning, rotted wood post with a caught tattered, sun faded blue cloth gently swaying in the breeze. It’s eerily quiet and I can’t help but think the world has just stopped. Continue reading
