My own graphic design.

Personally I have no graphic design experience but the process of creating something that would go onto my site was actually quite fun and challenging. I wanted to go for simplicity and as my first professor at ASU told me “simplicity is often the most complex thing to achieve.”

I had to take everything into account. The size of and the amount of space between icons, the size and font of the text, the level of bevel applied, the color of the background and how it may clash with any other color.

I like the colors and the icons represent what I’d like to think this site is all about. This is simply the first concept and feel it’s ready to be unveiled. I’ll be working on more in the future but for now I think this will do just fine. The entire composition was created in Adobe Photoshop and all of the icons except for the heart were found online. If anyone has any feedback, feel free to let me know. Until next post.

  1. I agree with your professor! It’s hard to encapsulate something complex with as little details as possible.

Think it’s cool that you’re able to come up with a simple logo for your blog. 🙂

    1. Thank you so kindly my dear. It’s always seems much easier to complicate something than to simplify it. Life itself being a perfect example. Adding more and more just seems to complicate while taking those non necessities out tends to make everything so much easier 🙂
