To Rio from Phoenix with London memories

It’s hard to believe it has already been four years since I was in London for the 2012 Olympic Games. On this day of the opening ceremony for Rio 2016 Games, I sit here wishing I could be on Ipanema or Copacabana beach gazing at Sugarloaf mountain with a caipirinha in my hand with another on the way. Drift Beyond… Photoshop fun.

The evening my friends and I returned from Chichen Itza and the cenote in Ik Kil, we went to the small market at the resort, grabbed a few drinks and snacks to make ourselves comfortable sitting on the balcony looking out to dark waters while listening to some chill music to end the night. It’s my very first time on a surfboard and I’m on my belly paddling as hard as I can in warm black water. “We need to swim past dat jetty and stay dher. Dah tide will keep pulling us back.” We’ve stopped and I’ve propped myself up to sit on the surfboard. I’ve never quite experienced anything like this. There’s so much activity, so many lights on the shore from towering hotels. So many starbursts from far off boats out on the horizon. Yet it’s quiet and hear only the sound of gentle waters. I wonder for a split moment if this is what paradise in outer space would feel like. Continue reading

My own graphic design.

Personally I have no graphic design experience but the process of creating something that would go onto my site was actually quite fun and challenging. I wanted to go for simplicity and as my first professor at ASU told me “simplicity is often the most complex thing to achieve.” Continue reading
